God Faithfulness and Provision

Hello friends. I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I certainly am. We've had several blessings sent our way this week. The first being an invitation to a small group dinner. We had a great time meeting new people (other married couples... some with kids, some without) and are looking forward to getting to know them. The next one was a free, five year old dryer. Our $25 dryer is very moody and only works on the rare occasion. Anya's mom, Linda, knew of our partial functioning dryer and also knew that a family member was looking to get rid of theirs. This had been quite a source of frustration, so to be given a dryer that's only five years old... Huge. Next, our landlord gave us $100 off our rent as our Christmas gift... greatly appreciated! And there are more, but this week has just been full of reminders of God's faithfulness and provision. And really we've had a lot of blessings since we've been in Midland. Mark, Linda, and Anya (the family I nanny for) have been a great blessing. They are so kind and such great parents. I love that my job is to spend every weekday morning with Anya. So, not only did God give me friendship through them but He also gave me the perfect job. I truly love Anya and love being her nanny!

As well as thing are going in Midland, I am very excited about our trip to Morgantown with all of our family! The last time we were in Morgantown was about 7 months ago, and it was during that visit that we got the first call about the job in Midland. That means its been 7 months since we've seen one of my brothers, Nathan's grandma, Nathan's siblings, our nieces and nephews, and two of our best friends, Eric and Caroline. Last time I saw Caroline, she was barely pregnant with her second baby... now she's do in just a couple weeks! So we are definitely looking forward to seeing everyone. Our goal is to leave town Friday afternoon. The only issue will be the weather. We are expecting a winter storm to roll in tomorrow evening through Friday. Significant accumulation is to be expected. But even if we're crawling at 5 MPH, we'll hopefully make it to WV by Saturday!

And another huge blessing was that my parents found a house in Bowling Green, KY! This was definitely an answered prayer. The house they are in the process of purchasing is a nice, brick, ranch style house in a great location. The interior will need some minor aesthetic TLC but mom agreed to let me act as her interior designer. Yay! I have a feeling Jan. and Feb. will hold a few weekend trips down south to help mom and dad get settled in to their new home and community. And hopefully we'll only be a couple years behind them before God will give us an opportunity to move back to the BG/N'ville area.

I'll close for now. Enjoy this time of year and don't let the season of shopping stress you out!
