We made it home yesterday evening and things are now officially back to normal. Nathan and I did enjoy Monday in Chicago. Nathan left his camera in the hotel room and we just went on a nice long date. We found a great restaurant in the Lincoln Park area, did some exploring on foot, and caught a movie. It's been a while since Nathan and I have truly spent a day where Nathan wasn't thinking about work or school or anything else. It was good. And our cat, Mimi, did great by herself, but has been craving our attention and affection since we've been home. And I'm happy to give it to her.

Our Chicago trip was just so perfect... of course it was the time with friends that made it so. But I'm thinking our next trip needs to be somewhere warm and relaxing.

In other news, my friend Caroline had her little girl yesterday. Her name is Julia Anne and she is absolutely beautiful! And its kind of cool that she was born on the same day that the first African American president was sworn in. (Nathan and I actually have a connection through historical things that happened on our bdays... MLK, Jr gave his "I have a dream" speech on my bday... of course not the same year... and he died on Nathan's bday... again not the same year.)

I hope to have more Chicago pictures for you as soon as Nathan's gets them on our computer, but until then... here you go.
