I got a call about my ultrasound this afternoon. I don't know if I mentioned this on here, but I noticed that the ultrasound tech spent much more time on my right ovary than my left. So I wasn't surprised when I was told there is a cyst on my right ovary. The nurse couldn't really answer many of my questions, but she said they thought it was a hemorrhaging cyst that comes and goes with my cycle. But I have to go in for another ultrasound in three weeks to get a second look. I don't know much beyond that. She said if it it doesn't go away on its own, then we'll have to remove it either with surgery or drugs. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if maybe Dr. Powell can give me a call and give me a little more information other than... congratulations you have a cyst. I'm assuming at this point, we'll probably have to deal with the cyst before we can proceed with any other treatment. My ultrasound is in a few weeks, then my next appointment will be on March 10th.
But I'm still hopeful.
