Swimming

Yesterday we went to a pool party at Ryan's (Nathan's boss') in-laws house. They have a beautiful home with an indoor pool and hot tub and are out of town for a while. We had a great time. The water in the pool was warm and the hot tub was hot! I think I could deal with the cold weather if I had access to that on a regular basis. But we had a great time swimming. Nathan and I both really enjoy swimming for recreation and exercise. It really made us want to get a pass for the community center pool, just for the winter. In the summer, we can go to Sanford lake which is just 20 minutes down the road for free... not to mention the million other gorgeous lakes in the region. We'll wait and see how old our foster child will be because if we have an infant, that wouldn't make much sense, but if we have a toddler... the pool might be a nice family activity.

After everyone was pool-ed out, we played some Wii, and just hung out for a while. I've got to say, I think Nathan probably has one of the greatest boss'. How many of you enjoy hanging out with your boss after work? Oh wait, I like my bosses, too! But yeah... it was a great evening. We still want to go on a date with just Ryan and Angie. I really like Angie a lot and we seem to have a good bit in common. And hopefully after we have a foster child, we can arrange some play dates with their girls.

Ok... Not much else is new. I've really enjoyed my time off with Nathan, but I'm actually ready for things to get back to normal. And I really hope to hear something about the status of our foster license. Once our license comes through we'll have one more home study. Then, we'll wait for a placement. I'm just getting a little anxious.
