Baby Baby Baby

Today's been pretty good for a Monday. I woke up a 4 a.m. and started to get ready for work... then realized it was 4 a.m. I was so worried that I'd oversleep since I haven't had to get up before 10 in a couple weeks. I woke again at 5:45 a.m. and decided to go ahead and get ready for my first day back with Anya. My morning with Anya was fine. She is just as, if not more, sweet and adorable as ever!

I talked with our licensing worker and we're just waiting for the state of Kentucky (I think... could be West Virginia, but I think its Kentucky we're waiting on) to verify our records. Nathan also has to get a physical. Once those two things are complete... she'll come back for our final home check and we'll be licensed. It's looking like we should be officially ready for placement as early as the end of the week! (That means we could be placed with a little one anytime after that!)

And a couple of you may already know this, but Nathan and I have been 'trying' to conceive for about 15 months now. It was difficult, emotionally, in the beginning. Very sad and frustrating and discouraging and upsestting. But I've always kind of had a heart for fostering/adoption... so I can only take it to mean that God is guiding us to pursue what has been on my heart for years now. With that said, we're still not giving up by any means on conceiving ourselves. I hadn't talked to a doctor about it because its 'normal' for it to take a year or so, but 'they' recommend seeing a doctor after a year of trying. Today I found and made an appointment with an doctor. Originally the only doctor in the practice that was accepting new patients was a male, which I was too thrilled with, but I was prepared to deal with it. But as I talked with the receptionist she put me on hold and came back and said she got me in with a doctor who is also a fertility specialist. Oh and she happens to be a female. That was like two awesomes in one! At this point, Nathan and I are not interested in any kind of fertility treatments. Our insurance doesn't cover it and our pockets aren't nearly deep enough to take that on. But I figured she'd has some words of wisdom, and I do want to know if there is problem.

I certainly enjoyed the break and holidays, but glad things are back to normal. (Of course... my normal may drastically change in the next couple weeks or so.)
