Midland Family

I found out this morning a 7:30 am. that yesterday was my last day with the boys. I won't get into that, but I was not even given a chance to say goodbye to the boys. I'll just leave it at that. I'm moving on.

I've learned that it really takes a solid year after you move for a place to even resemble "home." And I think it has little to do with the physical town, but its more about the time it takes for relationships to be formed. Once those relationships are formed, it's amazing. Midland is not, nor will it ever be Bowling Green, KY or even Morgantown, WV. But, thanks to my amazing friends here in Midland, its looking a lot more like home. Today my dear friend Linda, Anya's mom, showed such great kindness and friendship in helping me work through a situation. I know I've said this before, but we are just so greatly blessed to have them in our lives.

In BG, it was our small group friends (and Marky) that became family. And we know without a doubt that we have family in Midland.
