One Year

I remembered what else I needed to blog about... today of course Independence Day... but it is also our one year anniversary... in Midland! Can you believe we survived our first year in Michigan? This past year went by quickly. And I can't say it has been a bad year. Challenging at times, but not bad... actually there have been a lot of positives over the past 365 days.

*Nathan became a professional photojournalist.
*Nathan won 2008 MI NPPA POY after only six months in the field.
*I fell in love with Anya and have a great friendship with the Stachowiaks.
*We met and made friends with some really wonderful and talented people through the MDN.
*We had the opportunity to explore a new state and all of its natural beauty.
*We had a great trip to Chicago with Bryan and Stephanie
*We enjoy a beautiful, snowy Christmas season.
*God gave us a very special doctor who in a relatively short time found the root of our infertility. (1/2 the battle)
*God renewed and refreshed our marriage.

I know I did a lot of complaining about Midland and it still isn't where we hope to settle down for 10 or 20 years, but today on our 1 year anniversary, we are grateful for all that God has done in our lives here in Midland, Michigan. Happy Anniversary Midland!
