Go AMERICA

Hmm. How to sum up the day? "Ahhhh." I had the day off... and enjoyed it! My main goal was to get a much needed hair cut. Check. And my hairdresser finally confirmed something I that I knew for years... that my hair doesn't do well long. I have a lot of hair, but its fine hair so it breaks easily and is very, very stubborn. We came to this conclusion after my hair was all done. But we made a plan for the next appointment to take it up a bit. I like long hair because I can pull it up, but if I always have to pull it up, then it's probably unmanageable. And I do absolutely adore short hair.

I also managed the finances and paid bills, got an oil change, caught up on laundry and dishes, and just enjoyed doing whatever. Working over 50 hours a week really makes me cherish days off.

On to the more important things... we are assuming Nathan did not get the position in Nashville, which I might have already told you, but I am completely OK with that. Oddly enough, we are still at a good place. We had a couple days there were I wanted to freak out, but really we're fine. In fact, as much as I don't want to admit it, I'd like to be here for Dr. Powell to deliver our baby whether that comes about through surgery or IVF. She has never once questioned whether or not it would happen for us... it has always been... "stay hopeful because I will be delivering your baby." Also, Nathan's boss is sticking around and its seems like things at work will be OK. So my game plan to to focus on our life here in Midland. If and when the time comes for a move... I know that God will show us and guide us.

I thought there was so much more I wanted to blog about but I guess that's really it. Go AMERICA! And I hope you enjoy your Independence Day weekend! We went to Bay City to watch fireworks last night and tomorrow we'll be out at Ryan and Angie's for a Fairy Tale 4th of July cookout where we will be dressing up like Hanzel and Gretel. Fun Stuff. Enjoy your holiday.
