Where to begin. Its Wednesday night and I'm just now caught up on reality to blog about the wonderful visit we had with my parents. While we didn't need to do anything special to enjoy our time with Mom and Dad, we did have a blast camping around the Ludington area which is right on Lake Michigan. It was too cold to swim, but it was beautiful. When I say too cold to swim... I mean the temp over the past week has been high of oh 63-73! Yeah... today was about 65 and rainy... in JULY! But anyway... camping was great. We also went canoeing on the Chippewa River just West of Midland in Mt. Pleasant. We only did a three mile... ride or float or whatever you call that action... but we are definitely looking forward to going back for an all day, picnic trip. There was so much more to their visit, but I'll sum it up with... wonderful and greatly needed. Oh and Mom and Dad finally got to meet Anya, Mark, and Linda which I was very happy about.
As for our current state of being... we haven't heard about the job in Nashville, so we are assuming its a no. Its disappointing for sure, but its OK. We know that it just wasn't right for us. We trust fully in God's plan. And right now, we are fine to stay in Midland at the MDN. Nathan's boss is not leaving so things should be ok at the paper. And while we did consider getting back down to BG, we just cannot leave a job in the field with health insurance. So we will continue on as planned until God tells us otherwise.
I have a doctor's appointment on the 7th which I am kind of looking forward to. I've had over a month now since the HSG to digest things and also take a break from the charting and the 'trying.' And honestly, its been nice. I believe this appointment will be to discuss surgery and IVF. I have no expectations for this appointment. I'll just see how things go.
That's it for now I guess. This week was only a three day week for me so I have off tomorrow, which will allow me to finally get a long overdue haircut. Then we are camping at Ryan and Angie's house for the 4th of July. They have a theme each year and a family parade so everyone in attendance will have to dress up like a fairy tale character. Nathan and I chose Hanzel and Gretel. I bought his GoodWill suspenders today. It should be lots of fun.
OK. Its almost ten, I'm tired, and I still need to do a load of laundry. Goodnight and I'll blog again soon.
OH and we saw the movie Public Enemies today with Johnny Depp as John Dillinger. JD was wonderful, as always. Nathan and I weren't sure how to feel about how the movie was shot at times. I was hoping for more of an Oh Brother Where Art Though feel, which at times it was, but they did some weird camera and lighting stuff. There were times were I felt like I was in the studio watching them act... which was not really a good thing. But I still think JD and the rest of the cast were great.
