What Does Nathan do in Midland?
Have I mentioned lately how proud I am of my husband and the amazing work he does at the Midland Daily News? Well I am. Yes, there are still times when he doesn't get home until 3 am, or times when he's so tired he falls asleep on the couch before he makes it to bed. He works hard and he works a lot. But I'm fortunate to be able to see the final product of his hard work on a regular basis. This past week he shot the construction of a water tower in Lee Township. OK, so that doesn't sound super exciting, right? But when you shoot it as a time lapse piece, put it all together, and add our good friend, Justin Shepherd's band, Foxhole's music, then you get something pretty great. You can check it out here. There's another multi-media piece he did on a 70 something year old acrobat which I also love, you can check it out here. And while I prefer the pieces that are compromised up of still shots and audio since that is what Nathan does, photojournalism not videography, Nathan has had to adapt and start doing some video projects as well. Here is one that he did recently on a soldier homecoming. And then there's this senior yoga piece. I think I like this one, because, well who can resist a bunch of little old ladies doing yoga? And Nathan really enjoyed spending his time with the little old ladies. And one more I'll link you to is a video project on a local high school runner as seen here. Of course there are many, many more wonderful stills and projects on the Midland Daily News visuals portion of the website here. You know what I do here in Midland... ha or what I'm not going to be doing. But if you're interested in seeing what Nathan does here in Midland, I urge you to check out some of his recent projects.
