Post Vacation Update

Its been a few days, huh? We had a wonderful 8 day vacation in Kentucky. The first half of our trip was more centered around friends. We were able to catch up with many of the friends we dearly miss. And I was able to attend a small baby shower for Stephanie. It really didn't matter what we were doing, but just being in BG with friends was very refreshing. Although we were surprised how quickly we forgot what the KY summer felt like. Yes, there was sweat, but it felt good. Then mom and dad made it back to town after their two week motorcycle trip. Not only did we get time with friends, but we got time with Austin and my parents as well which truly made for a perfect vacation.

And I know many of you already know this, but while we were in Nashville spending time with Austin, we got to see Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman. We were in a Borders book store where we discovered the couple reading magazines and having a snack. Keith Urban was behind Nathan in line for coffee. My immediate question for Nathan was... did he smell good?! The answer, "Oh yeah." And yes, Nicole Kidman really is that beautiful in person. That certainly gave Nathan and I good dose of star struck.

Anyway, we enjoyed the time away with friends and family and are now back in our reality which is Midland. My first day of unemployment, post vacation, has gone well. I spent the day unpacking, stocking the fridge, and making and crossing things off my to do list.

I'm still praying for what the coming weeks may or may not hold. This is a crucial time personally, financially, and spiritually in our lives. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. My next procedure relating to IVF is the Sono-HSG which I am dreading, but ready to get over with. I just hope it will be my last and better than the first.
