We finally have a working dryer! Nathan and our landlord, Norm, went to pick up the dryer with Mark, Anya's dad. Mark and Linda were kind enough to let us do laundry at their house in the meantime, but I really just did the essentials. That means today will be a fun filled day of laundry!!! Hey, but I'm not complaining.
Last night, the intern Briana, had a "Wedding Crashers" themed evening. Everyone was supposed to dress up in formal wear (or Goodwill formal wear) and go to dinner and do whatever. Ha ha ha. I'm laughing because poor Briana was the only one in a wedding dress (everyone else just looked nice) and her not-boyfriend, boyfriend Nate, was in a formal suit. So it totally looked like they had just gotten married. I guess you kind of have to understand their goofy and complicated relationship to see just how hilarious it was. Afterwards we went to Nate's parents house and hung out. It was a fun evening though.
My Chicago countdown has begun. Nathan and I are meeting four of our best friends from Kentucky in Chicago on Friday night and we'll be together through Monday. We really cannot wait to spend weekend with Stephanie, Bryan, Casey, and Jo. We really miss their friendship and company. Then Nathan and I will actually be staying through Tuesday. My photojournalist wants to be in Chicago on inauguration day, since its the best place to be next to Washington, D.C. I'm not sure what I will do yet, maybe find a coffee shop or bookstore to hunker down in... massive Chicago crowds don't excite me. But it really should be a fantastic trip!
Mom and Dad are moving to Bowling Green this weekend!!! Yah. I'm excited for them to be in BG, I'm excited for them to have a nice home, and I'm excited for them to get settled back down. I just wish I could be there to help them move in and get acquainted with the town. In fact, they're only about five blocks from Bryan and Stephanie's house. I'm so jealous!!! But we just pray that our next move will take us closer to our families.
Guess that's it for now.
